Modeled by actress Alicia Witt at Christie’s in London, Chapeau d’Amour—the “hat of love”—was created by celebrity couture designer Louis Mariette. Made of woven platinum and covered in stunning diamonds, the hat was inspired by ivy and bluebells.
Somehow, someone, valued this little ditty (the hat, not the fine Ms. Witt) at 2.4 million dollars.
Is the taint flopping down on the top of 'er 'ed the Shroud of Turin? Will donning it bestow magical powers upon the wearer? Is the Chapeau Box a Sarcophagaus? Aren't ivy and bluebells free, or at least very inexpensive?
